Assertiveness

...is the ability to be aware of one's own boundaries, needs, and rights and to communicate and demonstrate them effectively.

The assertiveness component of the seminars focuses primarily on examining and improving the situation and behavior before a physical attack, in order to actually prevent physical assaults. Every fight avoided is a fight won!

The seminars begin with a theoretical explanation of violence prevention and assertiveness, how to recognize potential dangers, and how best to act in different situations. Participants then practice these skills in numerous practical exercises.

The next section deals with Self-Defense - the focus there is on situations in which one is physically attacked.
